I’m Lisa Curley, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor passionate about helping individuals overcome challenges and achieve personal growth. My practice focuses on working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, adult ADHD, and life transitions such as grief, loss, divorce, and trauma recovery. With years of experience supporting clients in addiction treatment and psychiatric crisis settings, I bring a compassionate, informed perspective to therapy.
Rooted in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy principles, my approach emphasizes the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I tailor each session to the unique needs of my clients, fostering a collaborative, empowering environment. My goal is to create a space where individuals feel comfortable, supported, and able to express themselves freely. By integrating trauma-informed practices, I strive to help clients build resilience and move toward healing.
As an ally to LGBTQ+ communities and those in alternative lifestyles, I am committed to providing a non-judgmental space for growth and exploration. Whether working with clients on life adjustments, managing adult ADHD, or navigating addictions, I focus on developing practical strategies to support their goals.
Outside of work, I enjoy practicing mindfulness through the Japanese art of shinrin-yoku, or "forest bathing," a relaxing way to connect with nature. Fun fact: I once served as an officer in the largest North American guild for World of Warcraft, combining leadership skills with a love of gaming. This experience informs my understanding of gaming culture and its impact on mental health, a niche I deeply value in my practice.
