MEd, LPC

Therapist Abby

Welcome! My name is Abby Blanchard, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor

dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and embrace their

journey towards healing and change.

I graduated from Nicholls State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology,

where I developed a strong foundation in understanding human behavior and

thinking. Fueled by my passion for empathizing and helping others, I pursued

further education at Louisiana State University, earning a Master of Education in

Counselor Education, with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

With over seven years of experience working in higher education, I have had the

privilege of supporting college students and young professionals from diverse

backgrounds through anxiety, depression, burnout, identity building, building

interpersonal relationships and communication skills, and navigating change. This

extensive experience has enriched my understanding of the unique struggles faced

by individuals during pivotal moments of their lives.

I approach therapy from a non-judgmental and compassionate perspective, firmly

believing in each person's innate capacity for growth and transformation. My goal is

to create a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts

and feelings, develop new insights, and build the skills necessary to lead a fulfilling

life.

Whether you are grappling with impostor syndrome, navigating career uncertainty,

adjusting to life changes, encountering relationship challenges, or processing the

complexities of personal identity, I'm here to offer personalized guidance and

support every step of the way. Together, we will work towards embracing change

and fostering healing in a manner that is both empowering and meaningful.

I am credentialed to provide teletherapy, offering accessible support to

accommodate busy schedules. I am available online on weekday evenings, making

it easier to fit counseling into your life.
